Big Jays SmokeHouse is seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Bartender to join Big Jays SmokeHouse's vibrant team at Big Jays SmokeHouse. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for mixology and guest services, ensuring that every patron enjoys a memorable experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with standard recipes.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations.
• Engage with guests, providing exceptional customer service and responding to their needs promptly.
• Upsell drinks and food items to enhance guest experience and increase sales.
• Assist with food preparation as needed, collaborating with kitchen staff to ensure timely service.
• Manage inventory by monitoring stock levels and placing orders when necessary.
• Handle cash transactions accurately, ensuring basic maths skills are applied for billing purposes.
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations, maintaining a safe environment for both staff and guests.

Experience

• Previous experience in a bartending role or similar position within the hospitality industry is preferred.
• Strong culinary skills with an understanding of food preparation techniques is advantageous.
• Excellent time management abilities, capable of working efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Proven upselling techniques that contribute to increased sales within the bar or restaurant setting.
• Familiarity with guest services principles, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction at all times.
• Knowledge of food safety standards is essential to maintain hygiene in food handling practices.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £11.44 - £12.50 per hour

Expected hours: 25 – 45 per week
