Warehouse Operative/Driver

Overview

Newbank Garden Centre is a family-run garden centre business striving to provide customers with an inspiring experience while offering amazing value on a diverse range of garden, gift, and homeware products.

The Role

This position combines warehouse work and delivery driving, with tasks varying based on daily business needs.

Responsibilities

• General warehousing duties and housekeeping.
• Taking deliveries and ensuring stock is sorted and processed.
• Driving and delivering stock.
• Manual handling—candidates must be physically fit to lift heavy boxes.
• Furniture assembly.
• Planning delivery routes efficiently.
• Ensuring safe and legal loading and unloading of the van.
• Additional duties as required by business needs.

Requirements

• Full Clean driving licence (Must be 25 years + to drive company vehicle).
• Counterbalance FLT licence preferred.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Shift flexibility, including weekends (Alternative weekends with a 4/6 day working pattern).
• Ability to work well under pressure.

Pay and Benefits

Pay ranges from £6.40 to £11.44 per hour, based on experience and performance.
