Warehouse Operative

Overview

Shift Pattern: 5 days out of 7

Shift Times: 20:00-05:00hrs

Wage: £13.04 per hour start rate up to £14.30 (Overtime paid up to time and a half £19.56-£21.45). This is inclusive of Night Allowance + up to a further 10% should you be required to work in the freezer.

Job Description: Various warehouse roles such as receiving goods into the building to be broken down into correct stock and dates, writing up stock onto GRNs to then be booked on, relocating pallets into locations, general maintenance and completing hygiene of the warehouse, picking stock using handheld scanners onto pallets. It will also involve freezer work.

Key Tasks / Responsibilities:

• Order picking using the correct procedures.
• Managing the goods in process to ensure the correct and timely intake of goods to the warehouse whilst simultaneously driving continuous improvement.
• Ensure correct dress code (PPE) is worn at all times.
• Follow clean as you go policy, so housekeeping is kept to the required standards.
• Report any Health and Safety issues to supervisor/manager.
• To be able to work overtime as and when required to meet business needs.
• Ensure all consolidated pallets are correct height and in safe condition.
• All pallets are consolidated to their maximum.
• To work at management discretion when required.

Skills/Knowledge and Qualifications:

• Trained on all relevant equipment within chilled warehouse.
• The ability to communicate with people within your area and other areas of the business.
