Warehouse Operative

Overview

HRA Recruitment Services's client based in Lichfield is looking for a Warehouse Operative to join their team.

Responsibilities of Warehouse Operative:

• Load and unload goods from lorries and containers, ensuring safe handling practices are followed.
• Assist with shipping and receiving processes, verifying the accuracy of incoming and outgoing shipments.
• Maintain stock levels by organising inventory and performing regular stock checks.
• Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely to move materials as needed.
• Utilise warehouse management systems (WMS) to track inventory and manage stock efficiently.
• Engage in picking and packing orders accurately for dispatch.
• Handle materials with care to prevent damage during storage and transportation.
• Perform basic mechanical tasks as required to maintain equipment functionality.

Skills of Warehouse Operative:

• Proficient in loading and unloading goods with attention to safety protocols.
• Familiarity with AS400 or similar warehouse management systems is advantageous.
• Experience in shipping and receiving operations is preferred.
• Strong skills in stock management and inventory control.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely, adhering to health and safety regulations.
• Competence in operating forklifts; certification is a plus.

Pay and Benefits:

Pay rate: £11.44 per hour with weekly pay.
